Terms
No guarantees. You use this at your own risk.

These terms
These terms cover toasternet.org and the apps offered from it. “I” means the person who operates Toasternet. “You” means anyone who visits the site, creates an account, subscribes to an app, or uses an app.
Using the site, creating an account, or subscribing means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
Offered as-is
Toasternet is a personal project. The site and the apps are provided “as is” and “as available.”
I make no guarantees. That includes no guarantee that anything will be accurate, complete, secure, available, fit for a particular purpose, or still here tomorrow. Apps can change, break, or disappear without notice. Accounts and subscriptions can be closed without notice.
No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim every warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. I do not warrant that the site or the apps are free of errors, interruptions, or harmful components.
Your responsibility
You use the site and the apps at your own risk. You are responsible for your account, your password, and what you do with the apps. You are responsible for any data you enter and for keeping your own copies of anything you care about.
Nothing here is professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice.
Subscriptions
Some apps require a subscription on this portal before they are available to an account. A subscription may be free, or it may require a payment. A free introduction can end. I can change the price, the term, or whether an app is offered.
Unsubscribe, on the account page, ends that app’s subscription and removes the grant. It does not delete data the app already stored, and it does not close your Toasternet account.
App data
Each app stores its own data in its own database, keyed to your Toasternet account. The portal does not keep a copy of what you type into an app.
Delete data, on the account page, asks that app to remove the data it stored for your account. It does not unsubscribe you, and it does not close your Toasternet account. You can unsubscribe and delete data separately, or do both. A delete cannot be undone. Keep your own copy of anything you care about before you use it.
When an app has a delete hook, the portal calls it and records the result. When an app does not have a hook yet, the control still records the request and I process it. Either way, the account page shows that a delete was recorded.
Portal records stay so the site can run. That includes your account, sessions, subscription history, invoices, and first-party page stats. Those records are not sold, and they are not sent to an advertising or analytics company. Closing an app’s data does not erase them. Closing your Toasternet account is separate and is not offered from the account page.
Payments in XBT
Paid apps are invoiced in XBT, the Bitcoin fork that uses BLAKE2b proof of work (also labeled BTCB2 or Bitcoin BLAKE2b). That is not Bitcoin (BTC). The address format looks the same. A payment sent on the Bitcoin network is not a payment for an invoice here, and I cannot credit it.
An invoice names the network, the address, and the amount. It expires. Access is granted after the watcher sees the amount on that chain with the required confirmations. I do not hold your wallet, and I do not promise a refund. Chain fees are yours.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site or the apps. That includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and punitive damages, and loss of data, profits, or goodwill, whether or not I was told it might happen.
If a court finds that I do have liability, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid me for the app in question during the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.
Some places do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those places, these terms apply only as far as the law allows. They do not limit liability for fraud, or for injury caused by intentional misconduct, where the law does not allow that limit.
If someone makes a claim because of you
If a claim, loss, or expense is brought against me because of your use of the site or the apps, your account, or your violation of these terms, you will cover it, including reasonable legal fees. This does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by my fraud or intentional misconduct.
How the site is run
The site keeps first-party operational records so I can see whether pages load, which apps are used, and whether sign-in works. Those records stay on Toasternet’s own hosts. They are not sold, and they are not sent to an advertising or analytics company.
A page view may include the path, a public referrer, browser family, device class, language, and an anonymous visitor id stored in your browser. Raw IP addresses are not kept. Account email is not written into the stats tables. Server logs used to operate the hosts are a separate, ordinary part of running a web server.
Subscription and invoice records store your account id, the app, the amount, the receive address, and the transaction id once one is seen. App data-delete requests store your account id, the app, the time, and whether the app confirmed the delete. Those records stay on Toasternet’s own database.
Ending use
You may stop using Toasternet at any time. I may stop offering any part of it, or close an account, at any time, for any reason or no reason.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you agree to those courts, except where the law gives you a right to a different forum that cannot be waived.
Changes
I may change these terms by posting a new version on this page. The date at the top is the version in effect. Continuing to use the site or the apps after a change means you accept the new terms.
